Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, normal blood formation, normal immune system function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Each 60-capsule pack provides approximately a 60-day supply. Overview Active Folic provides 400mcg of folate per capsule using Quatrefolic®, a patented source of L-methylfolate. L-methylfolate is a biologically active form of folate. Active Iron states that its Quatrefolic® formulation provides better absorption than standard folic acid. Folate is particularly important before conception and during pregnancy. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status.
