Baxter's irrigation products are labelled not for injection and should only be used for the purpose stated on the individual container and accompanying product information. Overview Baxter 0.9% Sodium Chloride for Irrigation provides an isotonic sodium chloride solution for irrigation procedures where sterile saline is required. The concentration is 0.9% w/v sodium chloride, equivalent to 9g sodium chloride per litre. Baxter's published technical information for its 0.9% irrigation solution gives sodium and chloride concentrations of 154 mEq/L each and an osmolarity of approximately 308 mOsm/L.
