Designed to protect and cushion the wound while absorbing wound fluid, it is suitable for a range of common wounds including cuts, grazes, abrasions, minor burns and sutured wounds. Overview Melolin combines a low-adherent perforated wound-contact film with an absorbent cotton/acrylic fibre pad and protective backing layer. The perforated film allows wound fluid to pass into the absorbent pad while helping minimise adherence of the dressing to the wound surface.
