It can also be used as a soap substitute for gentle everyday cleansing and is suitable for use on the face and body by babies, children and adults. Current Irish product listings describe the Foran formulation as paraben-free and made in Ireland. Overview Foran Silcocks Base is a traditional emollient moisturiser suitable for regular care of dry and sensitive skin. The formulation contains petrolatum together with emulsifying wax, which helps form a protective layer over the skin and reduce moisture loss. It can be applied regularly throughout the day whenever the skin feels dry and can also replace conventional soap during washing.
